A. The responsibilities of the Information and Public Relations Office are as follows:

Staff surveys regarding communications.
Content of KIA intranet site.
Production of KIA internal newsletters and email updates.
Organisation of ‘Town Hall’ meetings.
Organisation of staff social events
Organisation of “meet the MD” lunches/events.
▪ External Communications and Public Relations
B. The activities of the Information and Public Relations Office are as follows:
▪ Internal Communications
· Implementing an internal communications strategy.
· Inputs on the proposed internal communications strategy from all sectors
· Maintaining the KIA intranet site.
· Working with the IT Department to ensure that the intranet site functions well, icluding:
Overall look and feel of intranet site.
§ Interactive functionality capability, e.g. surveys, Q&A, and other information gatherin
§ exercises.
§ Service Level Agreements to include minimum downtime.
§ Ease of use for KIA staff.
§ Ease of changing content.
§ KIA directory.
§ Leading any projects to upgrade the intranet site.
· Coordinating with all KIA Sectors to ensure that their needs are met by the intranet
site, including keeping their Sector areas of the intranet up to date and advice relating
thereto.
· Coordinating occasional staff surveys and useing surveys results to adjust
internal communications as needed.
· Keeings up to date on inernal communications practices, including attending conferences
and courses and ensuring information and learnings are shared with Sector colleagues.
▪ External Communications and Public Relations
· Drafting a public relations strategy, including potentially hiring an external public
relations agency.
· Mantaining the KIA internet site.
· Working with the IT Department to ensure that the internet site functions well, including:
Overall look and feel of internet site, including ease of use.
Service Level Agreement to include minimum downtime.
Ease of changing content.
Leading any projects from the business side to upgrade internet site.
· Coordinating with all KIA Sectors to ensure that their needs are met by the internet site, including keeping their Sector areas of the intranet up to date and advice relating thereto.
· Coordinating with other areas of the Ministry of Finance and governmental bodies regarding PR practices for the KIA, including but not limited to the internet site, press releases and VIP visits.
· To be the first point of contact for the press at KIA.
· To maintain relationships with key press elements, including:
- Keeping in contact with key journalists.
- Scheduling interviews for the press with the Managing Director.
- Coordinating press enquiries.
- Scheduling and hosting press conferences.
Coordinating VIP visits to KIA with other Sectors and parts of the Ministry and government.
· Keeping up to date on PR practices, including attending conferences and courses and ensure information and learnings are shared with Sector colleagues
