Improving the performance of KIA’s staff

The Training Department periodically prepares questionnaires to determine the training requirements of all KIA employees for the next three years. According to the results of this survey, a plan is developed to cover the training requirements through the following programs:

A- General Training Courses

These courses are held within Kuwait or abroad and they handle investment and financial subjects as well as personal and administrative skills. These courses are organized through highly capable training and financial institutions. During the last three years 189 employees have attended courses abroad and 415 employees have attended courses within Kuwait.

B- Special Training Courses

These courses are organized at KIA’s Training Center and cover specialized topics in Investment and Finance to meet the needs and requirements of a number of KIA employees. These courses also cover the latest developments in international and local financial markets. 14 courses have been organized and were attended by a total of 108 employees during the last three years.

C- Professional courses and programs

KIA is seeks at all times to encourage its staff to develop, enhance and improve their professional and personal skills by enrolling in professional diploma and certificate programs such as the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Certified Public Accountant (CPA) program. KIA also offers some courses that assist employees to pass the examinations for these certificates and diplomas. 19 employees have registered for the CFA and 11 for the CPA program.
