- One side dealing (Borrowing is not allowed).
2. Foreign Exchange:
- Deals are executed with financial institutions within approved counterparty list
- Currencies : Mainly G10
- Types of transactions : Spot / outright/ swap.
- Strategies : up to 12 months.
- Competitive prices.
- No speculation ( only meeting obligations).
- Deals are executed through Reuters dealing system.
- Single Deal around $50 Mln or equivalent.
3.Money Market Funds:

AAA rated funds.

Fund size : not less than 2 billion USD or equivalent.

Funds with high level of liquidity.

10% of the fund size is the maximum investment.

Tracking record : not less than one year.

Currencies: G5.

Target Yield : O/N up to 1 month LIBOR
4. Bonds and Sukuk:

Issuer: Companies listed in Stock Exchange, not less than investment grade (Issuer & Issue).

Maximum Maturity: 5 years

Coupon in line with the risk.

Maximum Investment: 10% of the total issue size .
5. Credit research:

Study and recommend opening a credit lines with institutions (Rated A- and above).

Recommend counterparty limits.

Split the limits between Treasury Departments Kuwait and London ( KIO).

Studying issuers and managers credibility.

Monitoring credibility.
