Introduction
The Administrative and Financial Affairs and Human Resources Department forms the backbone of KIA as it deals with all matters pertaining to the employment. It has three Sections: Human Resources, Finance and Facilities. HR Section focuses on understanding and meeting the HR needs of KIA in an effective manner to facilitate the achievement of best practice throughout KIA departments. Facilities’ Section renders various services to the employees such as entry permission through Ministries Complex, Car Parking arrangements, hotel bookings, Airport Pick-ups for VIPs and responsibility for safe custody of documents. Finance Section handles budget related issues and staff salary process.

FUNCTIONS:
Human Resources
Responsible for all matters related to HR such as:
§ Recruitment process/Manpower planning
§ Individual performance monitoring
§ Process Annual Bonus/Annual Increments/Promotion
§ Payroll/benefits
§ Leave and travel related matters
§ Personnel records
§ Career development in coordination with the Training Department
Finance
§ Responsible for the preparation of annual budget for both KIA as well as KIO
§ Negotiating KIA/KIO budget and closing account with the Ministry of Finance
§ Preparation of relevant documents pertaining to the KIA/KIO budget to the Board and Executive Committee of KIA
§ Monitoring expenditure against approved budget
