H.E. Manaf Abdulaziz Al-Hajeri

Minister of Finance, and Minister of State for Economic Affairs and Investments

H.E. Mr. Manaf Abdulaziz Al Hajeri was appointed by Amiri Decree 43/2023 on April 9, 2023, as the State of Kuwait’s Minister of Finance and Minister of State for Economic Affairs and Investments as part of a new Cabinet formation. He was sworn in on April 10, 2023.

His Excellency has over 35 years of experience in the fields of business, investments, and finance. He served as the CEO of the Kuwait Financial Centre, a leading investment firm in the Middle East, from 2004 until his departure in 2020. Prior to that, he was the Deputy CIO at Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development from 1998 till 2004. His Excellency was also a visiting lecturer at Sciences Po, one of the world’s leading social sciences universities, and has chaired and served on boards across different industries, including the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation and the Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority.

His Excellency holds a master’s degree and a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Kuwait University. He is a Certified Finance Manager by the Institute of Management Accountants in New Jersey, United States.
